We are pleased to announce we will be running our Summer Holiday Club and can’t wait for it to begin!
SPACE AVAILABILE IN POD 4 and 8 ONLY. The club will be open from Monday 20th July until Friday 21st August and running from Henleaze Junior School (we are NOT RUNNING WEEK COMMENCING 24 August due to site cleaning).
The government has just released guidelines for holiday clubs running during coronavirus which requires us to ‘keep children in small, consistent groups of no more than fifteen children’. Due to this guidance we need to make a change to how our bookings are offered.
We are offering 6 pod options, ONE POD PER CHILD that will run throughout the summer. Each pod will have a consistent booking on set days each week, with repeat bookings required. The children will be kept in distinct groups of 15 (max) within their pod and where possible the same playworkers. The children attending are welcome from any local school as usual but should only be booked onto one pod.
When the weather enables, we will be having as much fun as we can outside in the playground and on the playing fields and encouraging reduced social contact. Each day will include an exciting choice of games, sports and crafts. We are currently working through and updating our risk assessment in light of government guidelines, and will publish it on our website once available.
We appreciate this is less flexible than our usual bookings and understand you may end up with sessions you do not need. Unfortunately we are unable to offer any refunds as we cannot fill that space with another booking. We are also only offering full day bookings. The committee collectively decided the chosen structure as it offered as much flexibility as we could for working parents across the Summer whilst fulfilling the governments advice. Please note, the guidance also recommends that parents should be encouraged to limit the number of settings their child attends.
