Early Years Foundation Stage

If your child is either pre-school or in Reception we are required to provide the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum for them. The curriculum involves your child having an allocated keyworker. Your child will have a folder in which their keyworker will make observations of them and track their interests. If your child is at Henleaze Infant School, we regularly meet with their class teacher to set targets and review progress. This allows us to get to know each Early Years child really well, and offer really specific activities for them based on their individual requirements. You are very welcome to view your child’s folder, and at the end of their time as an Early Years child with us their folder will be sent home. Should your child attend a reception class at Henleaze Infant School we may discuss your child’s progress in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage with them. If you would like any further information on the Early Years Foundation Stage please get in touch.
